A six-seat, 99-jet Platinum Spas Maximus for a home in the Arden community. Too big and heavy for a dolly, so it went into the backyard by crane.
Most hot tubs reach the backyard on a spa dolly, stood on their side and wheeled in. This one did not. Our founder Florian put it simply: the Maximus “needed a crane because the spa is big and heavy.” Here is how a delivery like that goes.
The Maximus is a big hot tub: 102.3 by 86.6 inches and 38.5 inches tall, with six seats and 99 jets. On this property in the Arden community that size and weight ruled out the usual route on a dolly, so the delivery was planned around a crane from the start. The spa arrived wrapped, and the crane truck met it at the house.
The crane set up in the street. The spa sat at the curb on a wooden frame, still in its protective wrap, and lifting slings were passed underneath and brought up to the hook.
Then the lift: straight up beside the house, above the roofline, and across to the backyard. For the homeowner it is a few minutes of watching a hot tub fly. For the crew it is the part that was planned before delivery day.
The Maximus came down onto a paver patio beside the house. Once it was unwrapped, the steps went on at the front and the cover went onto its lifter behind the tub. The Maximus is listed at 240V / 60A, which means a dedicated electrical service installed by a qualified professional, so that is part of the planning too.

When the spa is too large or too heavy for the route on a spa dolly, or when there is no ground route at all because of gates, fences, slopes or tight turns. We look at the access with you before delivery day, so a crane is planned in advance.
