The installation path

From site review to startup.

Every project is different, but a fiberglass pool installation generally moves through four coordinated phases.

  1. 01

    Plan the project

Confirm the pool model, placement, orientation, equipment area, access and local requirements.

  2. 02

    Prepare the site

Mark the layout, coordinate excavation and prepare the base for your site conditions.

  3. 03

    Deliver and place

The manufactured shell arrives and is set carefully into the prepared excavation.

  4. 04

    Complete and start up

Backfill, plumbing, equipment, surrounding work, filling and the final startup.

Plan the property, not only the pool

  • Access and setbacks
  • Utilities and easements
  • Drainage and stormwater
  • Elevation and grade
  • Equipment location
  • Outdoor living space

South Florida conditions belong in the plan. Soil, drainage, stormwater, groundwater, access and local approvals can all shape the installation approach.

  • Access and logistics

The delivery path and equipment access stay clear when the shell arrives.

  • Base and elevation

A prepared base supports accurate placement, level and the planned finished height.

  • Systems and equipment

Plumbing, circulation, filtration and electrical work align with the project plan.

  • Surroundings and startup

Decking, barriers, finishing, filling and startup follow the right sequence.

Questions

Pool installation, answered.

Timelines, access and site requirements vary by property. A project review comes before the installation plan is confirmed.

Which pool brands do you install?

We install two fiberglass lines with our own crew. Latham is our premium line: 45 models (41 pools and 4 spas), six shell colors and a limited lifetime structural warranty. X-Pools is our more affordable line, with 10 clean, modern models. We help you compare both for your property, style and budget.

Are you a licensed pool contractor?

Yes. Sensassion Pools and Spa installs pools under Florida Certified Pool/Spa Contractor license CPC1461254.

How long does a fiberglass pool installation take?

The schedule depends on approvals, site preparation, access, weather, surrounding work and the scope of the project. A timeline can be discussed after the property and selected pool have been reviewed.

Does a fiberglass pool require permits?

Pool projects are generally subject to local requirements and approvals. The exact process depends on the property and jurisdiction and must be confirmed before work begins.

What access is needed to deliver the pool shell?

The required route depends on the shell dimensions, property layout and delivery method. Gates, landscaping, structures, overhead lines and neighboring access may all need to be considered.

Why choose a fiberglass pool?

A fiberglass pool arrives as a manufactured shell with a smooth finished surface. Available models offer different shapes, depths, seating and integrated features.

Can decking and landscaping be planned with the pool?

Yes. The pool elevation, drainage, access and desired outdoor layout should be considered together so surrounding work can follow the correct installation sequence.
