A worn-out hot tub lifted out of a wood deck, and a brand new six-seat Platinum Palma set into the same opening beside the pool.
Not every delivery starts with an empty patio. Our founder Florian described this job as “replacing a spa which was in a deck for a brand new Palma spa from Platinum”. The photos follow it in order: the old one out, the new one in.
The old hot tub sat down in an opening in a wood deck, next to the pool. By the time of these photos it was empty and well past its best.
A spa that is built into a deck has to come out before anything else can happen. It was lifted out of its opening, rested on the boards, and then loaded onto our trailer.
The new Platinum Palma arrived in its packaging on the spa trailer. It went into the same opening in the deck, and in the next photo it is in place with the hose in it for the first fill.
A replacement only drops into an existing opening if the footprint and the height work. The Palma is 79 by 79 inches and 35 inches tall, with six seats and 83 jets. Before we recommend a model for a job like this, we measure the opening and look at how the spa will be reached for service. The Palma is listed at 240V / 60A, so the electrical service is checked as well.
